Windows version

If you need to know which version of Windows you have, there is a very simple way of finding out:

  • Right Click on My Computer;
  • in the menu which appears, click Properties;
  • a window will open which looks something like this.

The top area of the window (under system) displays which version of Windows you are running. This example shows Windows XP Professional, and it tells you that it has Service Pack 2 installed.

You can also get information here (in Windows XP) about the speed of your processor, and how much memory you have.
