Information
TextEase is a set of software tools bundled together into one package. The applications in this package are intended to familiarise children aged 5-11 with computer systems, and prepare them for secondary school. This means all the tools work in a very similar way – master one and the others are very easy to pick up. In total, 9 tools are included in the series, and they are also available separately:
- TextEase CT - a word processing, desktop publishing package with multimedia capabilities;
- TextEase Movies CT - an exciting and easy to use video editing and capturing package;
- TextEase Draw CT - a fantastic vector drawing and graphic modelling tool;
- TextEase Database CT - database technology with multi-user capabilities, allowing entire classrooms to collaborate on projects;
- TextEase Paint CT - a vibrant paint package with many exciting features;
- TextEase Turtle CT - create onscreen turtle graphics easily;
- TextEase Branch CT - an imaginative way to sort and classify information;
- TextEase Spreadsheet CT - a powerful spreadsheet package which allows students to learn about spreadsheets and produce their own graphs;
- TextEase Presenter CT - an easy to use presentation package with multimedia capabilities.
TextEase also includes a resource CD containing thousands of new resources, including clip art, digital photos, videos and sounds, all of which are curriculum-based. They can be searched using a key word. Examples of cross-curricular work are also included for all year groups in Key Stages 1 and 2.

Yeah they go on that. They like going on it and using the paint things. They are limited to an hour a day and use it every day. It's right for their age group.
