Site settings
To allow people with impaired vision, reading difficulties and the blind to access our site to the best of their ability, we have built our site with in-built display settings. These settings can be easily activated by clicking on the appropriate links at the top of every page on our site. To help you, here is an explanation of these settings and who they can support -
- Graphical site – A standard layout that incorporates pictures and text of a standard size that is common on most web sites. This caters for users that have no visual impairments.
- High contrast – This will turn the Aidis site into black and white, allowing greater distinction between text, pictures and the background. This has been developed to help people with dyslexia and literacy problems to read our site more clearly and accurately.
- Large text – This setting will increase the size of all the text on our site, whilst still adhering to our website’s design.
- Text only – The Text Only setting will remove all pictures and page segments (frames). This setting is ideal for people who rely on screen reading software, such as people with severe visual impairments, to easily navigate around our site and have the information relayed to them in a straight forward and economical manner.
Since Aidis champions the cause of enabling people with special needs to have equal access to technology, we have put in the time and effort to make our site fully accessible to all. Due to this, we also comply with the industries’ most stringent accessibility certificates and standards.
We also do not want to fall into the trap of being complacent and therefore actively encourage any feedback, both positive and negative, on our sites’ accessibility by the site’s viewers and users.
