Information

ProtoType can be used with your favourite word processing packages, allowing you to type sentences in to a window which appears at the bottom of the screen. After checking these sentences, you can automatically send them to any program that allows text editing.

ProtoType’s best feature is its use of symbols to aid understanding of the words. It also includes text-to-speech capabilities.

ProtoType does not include an on-screen keyboard, but it makes up for this by offering symbols to help you with choosing the correct word. It is possible to customise the word lists, and to change the symbol set to control the way the software predicts words and displays symbols. ProtoType is quick and easy to use with both keyboard and mouse.
