Information

PowerTalk gives automatic reading of a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. It allows the user of PowerPoint to load a presentation from the PowerTalk menu and any text will be spoken automatically.

It will pick up graphics and work well with bullet points within text boxes

At present PowerTalk isn't very good with, for example, word boxes placed around a graphic. It tends to read all over the place; the mouse cannot be used as a guide to read specific sections.

PowerTalk starts reading automatically and this means that it can be used with visually impaired speakers. Control is limited to moving between slides rather than being able to return to elements. It has also been designed for those with speech and language difficulties such as Aphasia.
