Hardware adaptations

Within this section is information about devices that will allow you to use a computer effectively, whether or not you are able to control a conventional keyboard and mouse.

If you are finding a standard mouse or keyboard difficult to use, try looking at alternatives such as pointing devices. If, however, you have problems with your gross motor skills, take a look at switches - did you know that you can write emails and letters, surf the Internet, and perform most other tasks on a computer, by using just one switch?

Located under the link ‘Who we help’ is a small collection of case studies that might be helpful. You could also email Aidis, or post a question on our message board. We are here to help!
