Information

First Keys 2 helps people with their spelling by using speech to pronounce letters and syllables phonetically before progressing onto full words and sentences. The program allows you to progress through different tasks which will gradually develop your knowledge and skills. The text-to-speech facility allows children to see words and hear the pronunciation at the same time. Tasks include initial letter matching, matching the text, building the text from memory, filling the gaps, look-cover-write, and spell from picture.

A large library of text lists, ranging from learning the alphabet to short stories, comes as standard. In addition to this, First Keys 2 allows you to create your own spelling and text lists, which can include your own pictures, so children can practise spellings at home. The program is ideal for children with physical and/or learning difficulties, as it has a simple format, and it can be accessed by mouse, keyboard, on-screen keyboard or touch screen.
