Compact keyboard and guards

A compact keyboard can be used on a wheelchair tray as an alternative to a standard keyboard. They can also be used by people with joint pain who might benefit from having a shorter distance between the keyboard and pointing device.

Review

A compact keyboard is the perfect size for a wheelchair tray, leaving enough space for a mouse, roller ball or joystick next to it.

Compact keyboards can also be useful for people with muscle fatigue. Having the pointing device closer to the keyboard can be less tiring and extend the length of time you can use it.

If you need a guard to use with your keyboard, the Cherry Keyboard is your best bet. If you don't need to use a guard, compact keyboards can be obtained relatively cheaply.
