Dazzle 03 - You can paint, draw, explore text, investigate shapes and create diagrams
Dazzle 03
Dazzle 03 is a painting program available at 4 levels. Each level has a different selection of applications available, designed to match the skills of children from pre-school to secondary level. It supports learning across the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1-4.
Dazzle 03 includse a wide range of painting tools such as stamp banks, natural art effects, gradient and layers.
For early learners the program is an excellent way to introduce key concepts such as colour, shape and pattern, as well as spatial awareness. Older students can be helped with mathematical concepts: each level of the program complements the stages of the National Curiculum.
Dazzle allows you to correct mistakes and explore different options. There is a save-to-web function which allows you to create and manage an on-line gallery of work that can be viewed on the internet. There is an option to include sound and video and some of the menus can be read aloud, making it suitable for users with learning difficulties.

"That's brilliant. Charlie loves that and it's helped him to use his imagination. He loves mixing colours. He now says things like "red and blue makes purple". He understands now that mixing colours makes new ones. The best thing is the freedom for kids to explore because it's freehand and they can make shapes and pictures. I'd definitely recommend it to others. It also helps with mouse control. The best thing for me is he can just experiment and do things again if he goes wrong."
"It benefits the children because its for children with special needs. My 2 year old uses it for drawing pictures, my six year old uses the mouse to do painting and can put text and his own words. My 15 year old loves the colours and the other programs. Even Gary who is autistic can use all the stages because its such an excellent program. All my children have learnt mouse control because of the games. It's easy and quick for autistic children to pick up. They all enjoy it. I'd definitely recommend it, well worth the money."
