Apple are set to launch the new iPad 3 on March the 7th in San Fransisco. This is likely to involve Apple unveiling the specifications and maybe a release date. The iPad 3 is rumoured to look similar to the iPad 2, though will have a high definition screen, a beefed-up quad core processor and a higher resolution camera. The costs are also rumoured to be slightly higher than the current pricing structure at around $70-$80 more across the range.
The connotations on the new release from a communication device perspective will not change when concerning the Apps available, as the iPad 3 will still be running the Apple IOS operating system. However, any changes in the dimension of the device and positioning of the camera and buttons will affect the accessories that will be compatible with it. So there will be a time-lag for protective cases to be manufactured for the iPad 3.
As usual, we're sure there will be a time-lag before making it over the pond to the UK, but it's on its way.
We will keep you posted on events as they unfold.
