AIDIS TRUST

Aidis is a small, dynamic, innovative charity dedicated to meeting the Information and Communication Technology challenges facing Disabled People. Technology moves fast, and to harness these developments and offer more and better services to the disabled community Aidis is currently looking for Volunteers to help on its technical support helpline and for promoting its’ work to organisations that work with disabled people.

Volunteers:

Aidis has a range of roles available to volunteers and is currently looking for volunteers who want to develop their help-desk skills and applying their marketing knowledge.

Helpdesk:  Volunteers who come and work at Aidis will need to feel confident using Windows based computers. The volunteers must have good phone manner and be able to communicate with people at a level that is appropriate to the clients computer skills.  Aidis provides full training in both access hardware and software. Volunteers will be required to be dedicated and punctual and be looking to develop their skills in the IT environment.

Marketing:  There are many disabled people who are not aware of the benefits technology can give them and the support and help Aidis offers. We want to change this. If you feel you have the skills and abilities to help us promote our website and place articles within publications then please contact us.

Here is what one of our Ex Volunteers has to say!

‘Volunteering for the Aidis Trust was great. Working as a team and being able to help people out is very rewarding. Their staff are friendly and easy to get on with’.

‘I'd highly recommend giving up your spare time to do something useful for this brilliant charity.’
