Technology for Life for Disabled People

Site sections

Expensive and life-changing equipment will remain unused without effective training.

We visit people in their homes. We train them on the equipment and software they need. We also help to take away the fear of computers and technology that prevents them from getting the most out of their systems.

Training disabled people can be difficult. Sometimes the equipment is complicated, sometimes the software is complicated. It can be difficult to get the message across. Our trainers are experienced and expert but, more importantly, they are sensitive to the practical and emotional difficulties that living with disabilities can create. If we are unable to train the person with a disability, we train those closest to them so they can help the person with a disability to use the system and succeed.

Please see James' story for a personal perspective on the practical difference that training makes. Our trainers have carried out over 300 training visits over the last twelve months.
