Out and About Plus - The living community
Aims to enhance skills such as sequencing, visual perception/discrimination, social interaction and appropriate behaviour, number recognition, problem solving and coin recognition.
Extensive use is made of real-life signs, symbols, photos and video, which users will be able to recognise from their everyday lives. In most of the activities, graded help is available.
Out and About 2 Plus - Around the home
Uses special video clips from Cooking is Fun with Ainsley Harriet. The activities include:
- shopping
- use-by dates
- spelling
- information gathering
- sequencing
- word processing
Graded help is given in most activities and built in record keeping is available
Out and About 3: Gadgets at Home
Users can listen, watch, discuss and even record their own commentary while learning about household gadgets. These include:
- cooker
- microwave
- washing machine
- iron
- toaster
- kettle
Activities include reveal, sequencing, spot the difference, spell the word and word search. As with the other Out and About titles, it has built-in record keeping, printable resources, switch, symbol and audio support.
Out and About 4: Money and Finance
Based around absorbing real life videos with follow-up activities and supporting resources, this program reinforces existing money skills and introduces new ones. Areas covered include:
- personal budgeting
- on-line shopping
- basic money skills
- money recognition
- ordering of money
- change
There is a fun quiz on money matters and the program covers vocabulary such as PIN, receipt, wages and so on.
