A school in Cheadle has teamed up with PZ Cussons to produce a system where smells are associated to objects. The Royal School Manchester and Cussons, a fragrance house in Salford, have created a range of smells that have been initially designed to replace natural food smells to be used to allow pupils to choose what they would like to eat.
It is thought that this technique could be extended to apply to a wider range of everyday choices.
