Raspberry PI, a charitable organization based in the UK, has just created a tiny computer capable of giving its larger cousins a run for their money.
The entire computer is housed on a tiny USB stick. Its HDMI port can be used to connect to an LCD TV screen, and its USB port can be used to connect a keyboard/mouse. Surprisingly, its processing power is not too shabby either.
It comes with a 700MHz ARM11 processor; 128MB of SDRAM; OpenGL ES 2.0; 1080p30 H.264 high-profile decode; composite and HDMI video output; USB 2.0; SD/MMC/SDIO memory card slot; and general-purpose I/O.
